Code of Reality
One name, two things: a reported perceptual phenomenon, and the organization researching it. Plus a third: the proposed discipline of "cognitive physics." Keeping them distinct is half the work of understanding this story.
1 · The phenomenon
"Code of reality" is the name Danny Goler gave to the structured, glyph-like forms he reports seeing in the diffracted laser lattice under N,N-DMT — and that participants in the protocol report as well. The core open question is whether observers genuinely match symbol-for-symbol (which would be extraordinary) or report similar categories of forms shaped by expectation (which would be unsurprising). 2 · The organization
Code of Reality Inc. is a nonprofit research organization (Pasadena, California affiliation) founded by Goler around 2025 to formalize the research program. Its public outputs:
- The IPI Letters pilot-study write-up (Jan 2025, non-peer-reviewed News & Views).
- Project Veilbreak — the open experiment registry and API.
- The Vision Pro spatial-registration experiment.
- Outreach via interviews and the documentary The Discovery.

3 · "Cognitive physics"
The label Goler proposes for the study of perception as an instrument for reading information structure in reality. As of August 2026 this is a proposal and brand rather than an established academic discipline; no peer-reviewed cognitive-physics literature exists. It is presented here as his framing.
